A French Interior Designer’s Italian Charm!

Powder Room Must-Haves…….
Through my many years of experience as a full service interior designer for both residential and commercial clients, I have found several elements key to a successful powder room:
Good lighting is essential and,ideally, is on a dimmer. Low lighting creates ambiance, while the ability to brighten the space allow guests to see better for a quick touch up ……

We love Powder Rooms! They provide the perfect opportunity to create an extraordinary space that reflects the style of the homeowner! Old world charm was the guiding principle for the design of this powder room.

Soft, subtle hues of bisque tan are offset by a pop of color… sunny yellow, vibrant magenta and dusty green. The imported Italian tile was laid in a diamond pattern anchor the vanity . The monochromatic wall paper is a nice complement with its switch its swirling stem pattern that is further reinforced in the lighting.

So here we go!

Just this past week I attended the very posh Restoration Hardware opening at Scottsdale Quarter.  Over 2,000 people attended and enjoyed the food, drink and live music at this flagship store.

I wanted to share with you some of the pictures I took.

This bird cage chandelier was, in my opinion, the most interesting and eclectic piece. It is fitting for both luxurious and casual interiors.

Design Trends!

One of the biggest things I noticed is the parallel between interior design and fashion design. Going green, being eco-friendly is huge . Think bamboo fabric! This natural viscose is absolutely luxurious and is used in upholstery to upscale linens to designer clothes……………
