Valérie Marcus, Allied IIDA, Owner and Lead Designer-
Valerie Marcus, lead designer and owner of VM Concept brings 20 years of international design experience to her clients. Hailing from Provence, France Valerie worked for several commercial and residential developers before venturing on her own. She opened her first studio specializing in space planning for children and teenagers in France. Her European influence is seen and felt in the artful use and amicable blend of detail, scale, texture, light and proportion in her designs. Valerie’s trade mark is her individual and self assured approach to each project, and commitment to creating a personalized space that is “so uniquely you”. Valerie believes “the true beauty of exceptional spaces is how they are designed to fit the style and personalities of the people who live in them.” A strong believer that any great design must translate into comfort, function and the ability for the homeowner to experience Joie de vivre. Her designs and creations have been greatly appreciated and have been talked about by the media.

Meritt Larson, Allied ASID-
Growing up in New Jersey as the daughter of an antique dealer, Meritt Larson had exposure to the world of fine furniture, art, accessories, and custom woodworking from an early age. Working as an architectural draftsman and studying architecture allowed Meritt to discover her true passion for interior architecture and design. Deciding to follow her passion, Meritt moved across the country to Arizona where she completed her degree in interior design. She has been with VM Concept since its inception. Passionate about architecture and travel, Meritt finds inspiration and draws ideas for her designs from the smallest to the largest, from simplicity in everyday life to the most ornate of existence, from her home to every possible place in the world- from the soaring lines of a magnificent Gothic cathedral visited in Paris, to the simple artistry of a WPA-era manhole cover. She believes that sometimes the smallest details can make the biggest differences. She enjoys visiting job sites and seeing designs that originated in a sketch or AutoCAD drawing “come to life.” Meritt is an integral part of the VM Concept design team.
Liliya Folsom, Allied ASID-
For as long as she can remember, Liliya Folsom has had a passion for interior design. Growing up in Russia, she recalls always reorganizing furniture and accessorizing her family's home. With few career opportunities in design in Russia, she earned her degree in chemical fibers technology. But that did not stop her from following her dream. After moving to the United States in 2000 she decided to follow her dream in designing. Simultaneously, Liliya also attended school and earned her AA Degree in Interior Design in 2007, also recently received her 3 year Professional Certificate in Interior Design. Liliya joined the VM Concept staff as an intern but with her dedication and hard work she was offered to come on board. Today, Liliya is a part of the VM Concept design team. She assists the lead designer in several projects and has an excellent opportunity to live her dream.
